Welcome to Blencowe Hall

Yoga Retreat

7-10th March 2025

Yoga Retreat in a 14th century castle nestled in a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Welcome to Blencowe Hall, our yoga retreat is located just outside of England's largest and arguably most beautiful National Park, The Lake District.

Reawaken after Winter and immerse yourself in stunning landscapes, a range of nurturing yoga practices and nourishing food in March 2025. This retreat is located in a breath-taking historic Grade 1 listed building which has won awards for its beautiful architectural features . The 12 bedroom castle (with a yoga shala attached) is a truly magical building with endless rooms to explore and roaring log fires to rest beside. This entire beautiful space is ours to dine, practice yoga and rest in.

The retreat will give you the chance to flow through a range of different movement, breath-work, meditation and yoga practices in our dedicated shala. We will eat delicious meals together lovingly prepared  by our very own chef and bask in the surrounding beauty of nature.

You will have the space to rest, socialise and explore as much or as little as you desire. This retreat is open to all those that have an interest in yoga and nature.  You certainly don't need to be an experienced yogi to join.

Lucy and Yoga

If you've got this far, it means you're interesting in joining this incredibly special retreat. I'm Lucy and I feel extremely grateful to be taking you on this journey into this wonderful retreat space. I have stayed at Blencowe Hall before and was completely bowled over by its presence, history and magic. The location also has a special place in my heart as I was brought up near the Lake District so I know how beautiful this area is.

I believe that one of the most powerful ways to feel grounded, strong, resilient and happy is to practice yoga and to build connections with other beings and nature. This is the reason I have chosen Blencowe for our retreat. It is a chance to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings and to step back from the complexities of everyday life. A chance to find freedom in the simplicity of nature, nourishing yoga practices and delicious food.

During this retreat we will take time to delve deeper into the practice of yoga/meditation/pranayama, to share our experiences and connect with others. This retreat is all about coming home to ourselves and peeling back some of the layers of everyday life.

The retreat will be accessible to all different types of yogis, ages and  body types. We are all uniquely and wonderfully different, therefore I will offer options and variations throughout the practice to suit the differing needs and experiences of our ever changing bodies.

I am also very excited to announce that guest teacher and massage therapist Charli Livingstone will be joining us on this retreat. Charli is an incredible teacher and has a wealth of experience and knowledge. She has trained all over the world with many highly regarded teachers. Charli is an experienced yoga teacher and massage therapist, working at some of London's best studios.
